Kuwait Data

OPENWARE provides base map data for Kuwait to help augment GIS implementations across the various organizations in the region.
OPENWARE Data comprises individual feature classes that include:

  • Kuwait Administrative Boundary – International political boundary of Kuwait
  • Governorate Boundary – Administrative boundaries for metropolitan area i.e Ahmadi, Asma, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Mubarak Al Kabeer and Jahra. It also contains boundaries of Islands like Qaruh Island, Kubbar Island, Faelaka Island etc.
  • Neighborhood Boundary - Administrative boundaries within each Governorate e.g.
    • Qibla, Sharq etc. - Asma Governorate ;
    • Jabriya, Salmiya etc. – Hawalli Governorate;
    • Ardhiya, Kjaitan etc. – Farwaniya Governorate;
    • Doha, Amghara etc – Jahara Governorate ;
    • Subhan, Messila etc. – Mubarak Al Kabeer Governorate;
    • Fintas, Mangaf etc. – Ahmadi Governorate
  • Block Boundary – Smallest Administrative block within each Neighborhood. These administrative blocks are associated with number like block 1, 2, ….3 and are unique for a particular neighborhood.
  • Street Network - All Highways, Major Roads and streets of Kuwait; topologically ready for creating geometric network database
  • Landmark - All important landmarks across the Kuwait. Landmarks are categorized into 64 different types.

You can purchase the entire database. The databases are provided in a variety of formats supported by ESRI, so you can use them for visualization and analyses with ArcGIS Desktop products.
Most of the Openware Data is also bundled and integrated to work with the ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile and other customized application where ever applicable and feasible to support specific requirements. Using this data together with ESRI desktop products and your own data allows you to create models, then visualize and analyze your results on a map.
